Easy Last-Minute Dog Halloween Costumes

Not every dog wants a full-body costume, and not every human has time to plan one. The easiest Halloween looks are the ones that go on in seconds: a cape, a pair of wings or a hat. They are also the easiest for your dog to wear.

1. A classic vampire cape

Tie it on and you're done. A red and black vampire cape or a bat-wing vampire cloak reads as "Halloween" from across the street.

2. Bat wings

Bat wings on a harness are about as simple as it gets for cats and small dogs. Nothing over the head, nothing around the legs.

3. A cape with a twist

For a dressier look, a lace cape with a bow or a pumpkin cape and witch hat set adds a bit of drama without much effort.

4. Just a hat
